CLASSIFICATION OF RAILWAY LINES RAILS AND THE REVIEW OF THEIR DESIGNS

Article purpose is classification of rails of railway lines and the analysis of their constructions. The offered classification is based as on the classical approach to a problem of the top structure of a railway, and on the analysis of the corresponding patent documentation of
the various countries of the world. Classification of rails is resulted, and also the analysis of their designs which differ to
destination (to a type of rail transport), a form of cross section, a form in the longitudinal direction, length, to quantity of heads, application conditions, structure to material, extent of assembly, type of steel, method of melting of steel, sound level during operation, etc. is made. It is considered prospects of use of the offered designs of rails. Article materials can be useful to scientific and pedagogical and also pedagogical workers, designers, inventors, post-graduate students and students.
